Vichyssoise (Potato and Leek Soup)

1Over medium high heat, bring the chicken stock to a boil
2Add leek and potatoes and reduce heat, simmering covered for 30 minutes
3Remove from heat to cool
4Blend the soup in batches until smooth
5Pour in half and half and stir to combine
6Refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight
7Serve chilled sprinkled with nutmeg and chives
